PATREON THEATER
Privacy policy
Effective October 13, 2026 · Extension version 1.0.2
Patreon Theater is a browser extension published by Aquabums. It changes the layout of Patreon video posts to provide Standard, Theater, and Cinema views.
What the extension accesses
On patreon.com and www.patreon.com, the extension checks the current page path and reads the page structure, post title, creator label, and embedded-player addresses to identify a video post and its existing player and comments. It adjusts the layout of the native player, comments, replies, and comment composer. This processing happens locally in your browser.
The extension does not record comment text or what you type, download videos, or access passwords, payment information, cookies, or authentication tokens. It does not request access to your browser history or build a record of pages you visit.
What is saved
Only two display preferences are saved in Chrome’s local extension storage: your viewing mode and comments-panel width. They are not saved with Chrome Sync. Temporary page references and layout information stay in memory while the extension runs.
What is sent or shared
The extension makes no network requests of its own and sends no page content, URLs, preferences, or personal information to Aquabums or a third party. It contains no analytics, advertising, tracking, or remotely hosted executable code. We do not sell extension user data or use it for advertising.
Permissions
Access to Patreon pages allows the extension to recognize and rearrange supported posts. The storage permission saves the two local display preferences. These permissions are used only to provide the viewing features described above.
Patreon and video providers
Playback, sign-in, memberships, comments, reactions, and replies continue to use Patreon’s own features and any embedded video provider. Those services handle data under their own policies. Patreon Theater does not change account or membership permissions.
Your choices
Select Standard to restore the original page layout. Disable the extension to stop its page access, or uninstall it to remove its local extension settings. The publisher has no copy of those settings or your Patreon page data.
